Good news to all the fans of Royal Challengers Banglore as they have successfully qualified for the playoffs of the Vivo IPL 2021 by winning the game against PBKS. Royal Challengers Banglore won the toss and they elected to bat first. Their decision was right as it was a good start for RCB, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal were looking in good touch and took RCB’s score to 68.

After losing the two consecutive wickets of Virat Kohli and Dan Christian RBI seemed to be in trouble. However, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers had a crucial partnership. Maxwell completed his 50 in just 29 balls and smashed some huge sixes out of the park.
On the other end, AB de Villiers lost his wicket at the score of 23. RCB put a score of 164 on the board and set a target of 165 for the Punjab Kings. In the second innings, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal had a partnership of 91. Till that time Punjab Kings was in a strong position. KL Rahul was caught when he was batting at 39(35).
Later Mayank Agarwal completed his fifty in 36 balls. After the wicket of KL Rahul innings of PBKS began to collapse. At last, over PBKS needed 19 runs to win but they were unable to make the required runs and lost by 6 runs. By winning this match RCB has become one of the teams who will play in the playoffs the Vivo IPL 2021.
What Virat Kohli Said In Post Match Presentation: – It is a good place to be in as we have won 8 matches out of 12 and our next target would be to be in the top two, it will give our players more confidence and at the same time we there are some areas in which we still need to improve as a team. It was not an easy wicket for batting. KL Rahul and Mayank batted well but we knew that we are just a few wickets away from the victory and that’s what our bowlers did.
